Start the program by either double-clicking on the program icon if you created one during the installation process, or start the program from the Start menu by selecting All Programs, then IIUSA TestBest™, and then the program item. An uninstaller is also available at that location.
On MacOS, start the program by double-clicking on the IIUSAExamPrep.jar file.
The screenshot below shows the main screen, which may be slightly different than yours depending on which version of IIUSA TestBest™ you are using:
Select an exam series by clicking on the corresponding Start button. Disabled exams are grayed out. You can enable a grayed out exam by entering an unlock code in the Unlock Feature menu item under the Help menu.
After selecting an exam series, the following screen appears:
Select an exam within the series by selecting the corresponding radio button. You can limit the size of the question pool by checking the "Select no more than" box and entering the number of questions. Uncheck the Randomize questions box if you want the same questions presented in the same order. Learning mode allows you to move at your own pace, and check answers as you move through the exam. Testing mode is timed and does not allow you to look at answers until the exam is over.
Click the Start Exam button to start the exam. The following screen appears:
The Previous and Next buttons help you navigate through the exam questions. You can also jump to a specific question by keying the question number into the field and clicking the "Go to Question" button.
The About menu item displays information about the package. The Help menu item brings up the Help screen.
The score is updated automatically after a radio button is pressed, or after the "Score Question" button is selected for each multiple-selection problem. The number of problems completed is shown along with the total number, which is shown as 4/5 = 80% for this case (4 questions correct out of 5 answered.)
For multiple choice questions such as the one shown here with four choices, radio buttons are organized into groups in which only one of the group can be selected at a time. Multi-select questions allow for more than one answer to be selected. Square checkboxes indicate multi-select questions, and the problem will state Choose TWO, or Choose THREE, etc.
You can end an exam by completing and scoring all questions, or by selecting the "End Exam" button, or by selecting the Exit menu item or selecting the window close box. Exam statistics are displayed as shown below, which you can print. You can also return to the exam to review the questions.
Exams can be printed directly or to a file, with or without answers. This is helpful for creating paper exams, and for studying away from a keyboard.
Printing can be selected from either the Print button or from the File menu after an exam has been started:
